Nelson & Terri Boschman
In late June 2008, Nelson and Terri Boschman moved to the Yaletown area of downtown Vancouver. Believing that God has called them to join with him in establishing a new community of faith within the city’s downtown core, Nelson has now begun an internship with Pacific Church and Pastor Adam Wiggins (www.pacificchurch.ca).
Nelson and Terri have adjusted quickly to life in the city. Their first summer in Vancouver has been both full and enjoyable, with lots of time spent with family, friends old and new, walking the seawall and getting familiar with their new surroundings. Nelson is especially enjoying the plethora of coffee shops available virtually everywhere.
While the precise location of their new church plant is still to be determined, Nelson and Terri are seeking ways to develop and nurture relationships among musicians, artists and other creative people living and working in downtown Vancouver. By God’s grace and leading, they hope to launch a faith community that is committed to announcing the kingdom of God in imaginative ways, while at the same time creatively contributing to the greater good of the city of Vancouver.
Prayer Requests
1. Pray for the ongoing strengthening and deepening of Nelson and Terri’s marriage relationship as they enter this new phase of life and ministry together.
2. Pray for open doors to meet people and develop relationships within the immediate Yaletown community.
3. Pray for the ability to discern well the ways in which God is leading Nelson and Terri as they prepare to plant a new church.
4. Pray that God will lead us to other individuals and couples who are called to join with us in our mission of building a new church.
5. Thank God for Terri’s new job as a Special Education Assistant at Vancouver Christian School.
